Carter, who had been employed as a substitute teacher from January to May 2024, was hired as an instructional paraprofessional on August 21, 2024. However, his employment was short-lived. He was suspended on September 16 and subsequently fired on September 18, 2024, as the Conroe ISD Police Department conducted its investigation.
