Tyler Doctor Kenneth Donald Haygood Accused of Sexually Assaulting Multiple Patients, Including a Child

Tyler, TX – It has recently been reported that Dr. Kenneth Donald Haygood, a 54-year-old Tyler doctor, has been accused of sexually assaulting four patients, including a child. These shocking allegations have led to his arrest and subsequent detention in jail on a substantial bond of $3,550,000.

The accusations against Dr. Haygood came to light following his suspension by the Texas Medical Board in 2023 due to complaints of inappropriate conduct. The investigation into these allegations was initiated by a sergeant with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) on November 2, 2023, revealing a pattern of alleged sexual assaults dating back several years.

Following his arrest on Tuesday, Dr. Haygood faces three counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Four Victims Allege Dr. Haygood Sexually Assaulted Them

Despite restrictions imposed by the Texas Medical Board, which prohibited him from seeing, examining, or treating female patients, Haygood is accused of sexually assaulting victims under the guise of medical procedures such as checking a patient’s thyroid, providing therapeutic massages, and conducting examinations.

One victim reported being assaulted as an 8-year-old child during a medical examination in 2007, to have her thyroid checked. The assault was said to have occurred when the mother stepped out of the exam room.

The second assault was said to have been committed in 2018. A woman claims she was assaulted during a massage for sciatica issues. The victim went to police the following day to report the incident. She also told police that Dr. Haygood performed many pelvic exams that were not medically necessary during other appointments.

The third victim had similar incidents of abuse during exams and a massage sometime between 2017 and 2018.

The fourth patient disclosed that she had been groomed for sexual assault beginning in 2018, with subsequent assaults occurring during her visits over the following three months. She revealed that Haygood surveilled her through a phone application and installed a camera in her residence.

Despite restrictions placed on his medical license by the Texas Medical Board, Dr. Haygood continued to see and treat female patients, leading to further complaints and a subsequent complete suspension of his license in October 2023.
